Brown Stairs Painted

This is a set of 10 brown beautifully painted cuboids that demonstrates changes in 2 dimensions, i.e, width and height, while the length remains constant. The rectangular prisms vary in area from 1 square centimeter to 10 square centimeter while the length remains unchanging at 20 cm. The cuboids are cut to extremely precise and accurate dimensions.

The material helps in understanding the visual and muscular sense of dimensions. It is also one of the first materials in the sensorial journey of the child after cylinder blocks and pink tower. It provides a basis for understanding of math in terms of numbers 1-10 as the child moves to the mathematical materials as part of the Montessori environment.
